the CURVe command.

ASC specifies ASCII encoded curve data.
BIN specifies binary encoded curve data.
WFMPRE:ENCDG ASC
specifies that waveform data is in ASCII format.
WFMPRE:ENCDG?
might return BIN, indicating that waveform data is in binary format.
WFMPre:PT_Fmt (No Query Form)
Selects the waveform data point format for the ordered waveforms specified by
the DATa:SOUrce command.
