ThissetstherangeofvelocitiesoverwhichHigh willfade
intoMidHigh,goingupfromthe“BottomVel.”
Forinstance,ifthe“BottomVel.”issetto64,andthe
“Range”issetto20,MidHighwillstarttofadeinatveloci
tiesof84andbelow.
Whenve
locitiesarewithinthe“Range,”theOscillatorwill
usetwiceasmuchpolyphonyasitwouldnormally.
Note:Youcan onlyfadebetweentwozonesatonce.
Curve [Linear, Power, Layer]
Thiscontrolsthevolumecurveofthecrossfade.Linearand
Power(shortforEqualPower)letyoufinetunethewaythat
thetwoMultisamplesmixtogether;oneortheothermaybe
moreappropriateforagivenpairofMultisamples.Layer,
truetoitsname,letsyoulayerthetwo Multisamples
togetherwithoutanycrossfading.
Linearmeansthatthetwosampleswilleachbeat50%of
theirfullvolumeinthemiddleofthecrossfade.Sometimes,
thismay createadipinthevolumelevel;ifso,tryusing
Powerinstead.
Power,shortforEqualPower,meansthatthetwosamples
wil
leachbeataround70%oftheirfullvolumeinthemid
dleofthecrossfade.Sometimes,thismaycreateabumpin
thevolumelevel,inwhichcaseyoumighttryselectingLin
earinstead.
LayermeansthatthetwoMultisampleswillbelayered
together,bothatfullvo
lume,fortheentirerangeofthe
crossfade.
Crossfade Curves
Mid High, Mid-Low, Low
Thesearethesettingsforthesecond,third,andfourth
velocityzones.TheparametersforMidHighandMidLow
areexactlythesameasthoseforHigh,asdescribedabove.
TheparametersforLowarealsosimilartothoseforHigh,
exceptthatLowhasnosettingsfor“BottomVel.”(whichis
alwaysfixedat1),“Range,”or“Curve.”
