Thequickparametersareorganizedintothetoneparame
ters(page21)andparametersthathavebeenselectedfrom
amongthefullparameters.

Voice
Theseparametersspecifyvoicesettingsforoscillators1and
2atthesametime.
Voice Assign Mode (Voice Mode) [Poly, Mono]
Selectthebasicvoiceallocationmode.Dependingonwhich
oneyouselect,variousotheroptionswillappear,suchas
“MonoLegato”and“Unison”(Monomodeonly).
Poly:Theprogramwillplaypolyphonically,allowingyou
playchords.
Mono:Theprogramwillplaymonophonically,producing
onlyonenoteatatime.
Mono Legato [Off, On]
Thisisavailablewhenthe“VoiceAssignMode”issetto
Mono.
Legatoreferstonotesthatareplayedinawaythatthey
soundsmoothandconnected;thenextnoteisplayedbefore
thelastnoteisreleased.Thisistheoppositeofplaying
detached.
When“MonoLegato”isOn,th
efirstnoteinalegatophrase
willsoundnormally,andthensubsequentnoteswillhavea
smoothersound,formoregentletransitionsbetweenthe
notes.
On:Whenyouplaywithlegatophrasing,thenoteswithina
legatophrasewillsoundsmoother.
Off:Legatophrasingwillproducethesamesoundas
detachedplaying.
Unison [On, Off]
UnisoncanbeusedinMonomode.
On:WhenUnisonison,theProgramusestwoormore
stacked,detunedvoicestocreateathicksound.
Usethe“Voices”and“Detune”parameterstosetthenum
berofvoicesandamountofdetuning,andthe“Thickness”
parametertocontrolthecharacterofth
edetuning.
Off:TheProgramplaysnormally.
Voices (Number of Voices) [2...6]
Thiscontrolsthenumberofdetunedvoicesthatwillbe
playedforeachnotewhenusing“Unison.”Itappliesonly
when“Unison”isOn.
Detune [cents] [00...99 cents]
DetuneisavailablewhenUnisonisOn.
ThisparametersetsthetuningspreadfortheUnisonvoices,
incents(1/100ofasemitone).The“Thicknes”parameter,
below,controlshowthevoicesaredistributedacrossthe
detuneamount.When“Thickness”isOff,thevoicesaredis
tributedevenly,centeredaroundthebasicpi
tch.
Forinstance,let’ssaythatthe“Voices”parameterissetto3,
“Detune”issetto24,and“Thicknes”isOff:
Voiceonewillbedetuneddownby12cents,voicetwowill
notbedetuned,andvoicethreewillbedetunedupby12
cents.
Asanotherexample,let’ssayth

Thickness [Off, 1...9]
ThicknessisavailablewhenUnisonisOn.
Thisparametercontrolsthecharacterofthedetuningfunc
tionfortheunisonvoices.
Off:Unisonvoiceswillbeevenlydistributedacrossthe
Detunerange,asshownabove.
01–09:Unisonvoiceswillbedetunedinanasymmetrical
way,increasingthecomplexityofthedetunefunction,an
d
changingthewaythatthedifferentpitchesbeatagainstone
another.Thiscreatesaneffectsimilartovintageanalogsyn
thesizers,whereoscillatorswouldfrequentlydriftslightly
outoftune.Highernumbersincreasetheeffect.
