MIDI transmission when the PS60’s controllers are used
ThefollowingtablesshowtherelationbetweentheMIDI
messagesthataretransmittedwhenthePS60’scontrollers
areused,andtheAMS(alternatemodulationsource)or
DMS(dynamicmodulationsource)thatcorrespondtoeach
MIDImessage.
# indicates a fixed function, and * indicates an assignable function.
WhenyouuseacontrolleronthePS60,thecorresponding
orassignedcontrolchangewillbetransmitted.Theexcep
tionisthatwhenyoumovethejoystickintheX(horizontal)
direction,pitchbendchangemessageswillbetransmitted.
Herewewillexplainonlycontrolchanges,butthesame
appliesforpitchbendchange.
Whenoneofthe PS60’scontrollersisused,acontrolchange
messagewillbetransmittedontheglobalMIDIchannel
(page72).
Simultaneously,themessagewillalsobetransmittedonthe
MIDIchannel(page7)ofanytimbrewhoseStatus(page7)
isEXTorEX2.
Whenoneofthe PS
60’scontrollersisused,itseffectwill
applytoanytimbrewhoseStatusisINTandwhoseMIDI
ChannelsettingiseitherGchorthesameastheglobalMIDI
channel.
InthecaseofMasterVolume,theuniversalexclusive
messageMasterVolumewillbetransmittedonlyonthe
globalMIDIch
annel.
YoucanusetheMIDIFiltersettings(page10)toenable
ordisablecontrolchangesandcontrollersforeachtim
bre.IfthesettingisOn,theaboveoperationswillbe
enabled.
