On the 532i, changes in ramp incline affect different muscle
groups. To target a specific muscle group, adjust the ramp incline
within the levels shown in the following table.

Display
HEART RATE
SmartRate
The upper display includes the HEART RATE, SmartRate, and a
program profile display. The following descriptions explain what
appears in the displays.
HEART RATE–displays your heart rate when you wear a chest
strap or grasp both touch-sensitive grips. Refer to Heart Rate
Features.
SmartRate–displays your heart rate as a blinking segment which
indicates the zone your heart rate is in when you enter your age
after choosing a program and hold on to the touch-sensitive grips
or use a chest strap. Use this display as a visual aid to keep your
heart rate in your preferred zone. Refer to Using SmartRate.
