7.3 Power up and Status check
General
Use the following steps to power up your E 2 system and check system status.
Prerequisite
• Ensure that your system is properly installed and cabled.
• Ensure that you are familiar with the System M enu. For details on all menus, please refer to chapter "Front Panel Menu
orientation", page 45.
Power up system and check system status
1. Turn on the unit and wait while it initializes. During the initialization process the front pa nel displays: “Program Loading Please
Wait”.
The Status Menu is automatically displayed a fter initialization is c ompleted.
2. Power up all pe ripherals, such as display devices (projectors, monitors) and sources.
3. Turn on the PC and run the EM GUI s oftware.
The system configuration page is the first page that appears when the EM GUI is launched.
4. On the Status Menu:
- System1 is the default value d isplayed as System Name if this is the first start of the unit. Th is name can be chan
ged in the
configuration page of the GUI.
- E nsure E 2 is connected on the local network. If there is no internet connection, or if a DHCP server has not been found, the
IP address is 000.000.000.000. In this case, re-check all Ethernet c onnections. After checking connections, if devices still
report “Not Connected,” use the procedure "Communication setup", page 162.
