GETTING STARTED
Guidelines For Getting On and Off the
TreadClimber
®
Exercise Machine
Instruct each user in the following guidelines for getting on and off the
TreadClimber
®
exercise machine.
Step 1: The treadles should be completely stopped before the user steps
onto the TreadClimber
®
machine.
Step 2: Step onto the treadles and place both hands on the front
handrail (see Figure 3-1).
Step 3: Start with a minimum walk speed and treadle displacement until
you feel comfortable with the motion.
Step 4: While walking on the TreadClimber
®
machine:
Face forward. Avoid looking down at the moving treadles.
Maintain walk speed using the same stride length with equal
pressure from the right to the left foot. Maintain a consistent
distance from the handrail.
Adjust the walk speed and treadle displacement as desired.
Hold onto the handrail as the walk speed and treadle
displacement change.
Step 5: Before stepping off the TreadClimber
®
exercise machine, place
both hands on the side handrail, wait for the treadles to stop,
then step off the back (see Figure 3-2).
