HOWTOMAINTAINTHESMOOTH‐5.45TREADMILL:
Propermaintenanceisveryimportanttoensureyourtreadmillisalwaysintopworkingcondition.Impropermaintenance
couldcausedamageorshortenthelifeofyourtreadmillandexceedtheLIMITEDWARRANTYcoverage.
• Important:Donot
useabrasivesorsolventstocleanthetreadmill.Topreventdamagetothecomputer,keepliquids
awayandkeepitoutofdirectsunlight.
• Inspectandtightenallpartsofthetreadmillregularly.Replaceanywornpartsimmediately.
BELTADJUSTMENT:
Beltadjustmentandtensionperformstwofunctions:adjustment
fortensionandcentering.Therunningbelthasbeen
adjustedproperlyatthefactory.Howevertransportation,unevenflooringorotherunpredictedreasonscouldcausethebelt
toshiftoffcenterresultinginthebeltrubbingwiththeplasticsiderailorendcapsandpossiblycausingdamage.Toadjust
the
beltbacktoit’sproperpositionpleasefollowthedirectionsbelow:
• Walkingbelthasshiftedtotheleft:Firstunplugthepowercordfromthesurgeprotector.Usingthehexkey
provided,turntheleftrearrolleradjustmentbolt1/4turnintheclockwisedirection.Plugthepowercord
backinto
thesurgeprotectorandrunthetreadmillat2.5mph.Youshouldseethebeltstarttocorrectitself,movingback
towardsthecenter.Repeattheaboveprocedureuntilthewalkingbeltiscentered.Itmaybenecessarytoset
walkingbelttensiononceyouhavecompletedthis
procedureifthebeltfeelslikeitisslippingwhilewalking.Refer
belowtothe"Walkingbeltslipping"instructions.
• Walkingbelthasshiftedtotheright:Firstunplugthepowercordfromthesurgeprotector.Usingthehexkey
provided,turntherightrearrolleradjustmentbolt1/4turn
intheclockwisedirection.Plugthepowercordbackinto
thesurgeprotectorandrunthetreadmillat2.5mph.Youshouldseethebeltstarttocorrectitself,movingback
towardsthecenter.Repeattheaboveprocedureuntilthewalkingbeltiscentered.Itmaybenecessarytoset
walking
belttensiononceyouhavecompletedthisprocedureifthebeltfeelslikeitisslippingwhilewalking.Refer
belowtothe"Walkingbeltslipping"instructions.
• Walkingbeltisslipping:Firstunplugthepowercordfromthesurgeprotector.Usingthehexkeyprovided,turnboth
theleft
andrightrearrolleradjustmentboltsthesamedistance,usuallya1/2turnintheclockwisedirection.Plug
thepowercordbackintothesurgeprotectorandrunthetreadmillat2.5mph.Youshouldnowwalkonthebeltto
determineifthebeltisstillslipping.Repeattheabove
procedureuntilthewalkingbeltisnotslipping.Thetension
shouldbejusttightenoughnottoslip.
WARNING!Donotovertightenrollers!Thiswillcauseprematurerollerbearingfailure!
Rightandlefttensionboltsarelocatedattherearofthetreadmill.
