• By connecting this unit to the Internet, you can update the software via the Internet, play contents stored on DLNA
home media servers or access BD-Live.
-For more information about software update, refer to “Network Update” on page 54.

Music / Photo Files from DLNA Certified Home Media
Servers” on page 30.
-For more information about BD-Live, refer to “Enjoying BD-Live Discs with Internet” on page 35.
Make sure to conne ct the te lecommunications equipmen t (modem, etc.) to the ETHERNET terminal via hub or broadb an d router.
After you made all necessary connections, connect the AC cord to the AC INLET. Then connect the AC cord to the AC outlet.
Insert the plugs securely. Incomplete connections will result in the generation of noise.

Note
• After connecting to the Internet, set up necessary network settings.
• Do not insert any cable other than a LAN cable to the ETHERNET terminal to avoid damaging the unit.
• If your telecommunications equipment (modem, etc.) does not have broadband router functions, connect a
broadband router .
• If
your telecommunications equipment (modem, etc.) has broadband router functions, use a hub.
• For a broadband router, use a router which supports 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX.
• Do not connect your PC directly to the ETHERNET terminal of this unit.

51-54.
• For more information about cables or connections, see the manual accompanying modem, broadband router and
hub you use.
• Please purchase shielded LAN cables at your local store and use them when you connect to network equipment.
