Beam an application
To beam an application:
1. Tap the applications launcher icon.
2. Tap the menu icon.
3. Tap app > beam.
4. Select the application to be beamed from the beam dialog.
5. Tap beam.
NOTE: Some applications are copy-protected and cannot be beamed, if indicated by a lock icon.
6. Point the IR port directly at the IR port of the receiving handheld computer when the Beam Status
dialog appears.
7. Resume working on your handheld computer when the Beam Status dialog indicates that the transfer
is complete.
Receive beamed information
To receive beamed information:
1. Turn on your handheld computer.
2. Point the IR port directly at the IR port of the transmitting handheld computer to open the beam
status dialog.
3. Tap yes.
4. Wait for the beam status dialog to indicate that the transfer is complete.
5. Tap OK to display the new entry. The incoming records are placed in the unfiled category.
Turn off beaming
To turn beaming on or off:
1. Tap the applications icon.
2. Select all or system from the pick list in the upper right corner of the screen.
3. Tap preferences.
4. Tap general from the pick list in the upper right corner.
5. Tap the beam receive pick list on the general preferences dialog.
6. Tap on or off to select the option.
