1. BODY FAT %

Your body fat percentage is simply the percentage of fat your body contains. If you are 150 pounds and
10% fat, it means that your body consists of 15 pounds fat and 135 pounds lean body mass (bone, muscle,
organ tissue, blood and everything else).

A certain amount of fat is essential to bodily
functions. Fat regulates body temperature,
cushions and insulates organs and tissues and is
the main form of the body's energy storage. The
table describes body fat ranges and their

4. BODY TYPE
There are 9 BODY TYPES divided according to the
FAT % calculated. Refer to the chart to determine what
body type you are.
When you know which type you are and diet and exercise
correctly for that type, you will make much better progress.
Body Mass Index is a height/weight formula used by health and weight professionals around the world to
assess a person's body weight. From your body mass index number you can see if you are underweight,
normal weight, overweight or obese.

3. BMR (BODY METABOLISM RATE)
Basal Metabolic Rate is the rate at which the body burns calories to maintain normal body functions while at
rest. BMR is the largest factor in determining overall metabolic rate and how many calories you need to
maintain, lose or gain weight.
To lose weight, you should try to eat less calories then basal caloric rate as BMR shown. In order to lose
weight, calories should not be your only concern. Exercise is vital, too.
