Backlap Switches
Removal (Figs. 68 and 69)
1. Park machine on a level surface, lower cutting units,
stop engine and engage parking brake. Remove key
from ignition switch.
2. Tiltoperator seat upto gain access tohydraulic mow
control manifold.
3. Locate the backlap switch on the mow control man-
ifold that is to be replaced (Fig. 68).
4. Disconnect the wire harness electrical connector
from the backlap switch that is to be removed.
5. Loosen and remove backlap switch from hydraulic
manifold. Remove and discard o--ring.
Installation (Figs. 68 and 69)
1. Makesure thatdowel pin andball areplaced in man-
ifold port as shown in Figure 69.
2. Install backlap switch with new o--ring into manifold
port and torque to 15 ft--lb (20 N--m).
3. Connect harness electricalconnector to the backlap
switch. Use theDiagnostic Displayto verifythat backlap
switches are functioning correctly.
4. Lower operator seat.
