ATTENTION: HOT!
1. Important!
In the case of doubt arrange to have the installation carried
out by a specialist workshop!
In the event of damage due to improper installation, MAGURA
will not be responsible for replacement!
2. Master installation
Dismantle the mechanical clutch system and install the HYMEC
master cylinder.
ATTENTION: If choke lever or hot start lever available,
reset them, see Vehicle Manual!
3. Line installation
Install line with slave cylinder (like the Bowden cable) in the
mounting eyes on the frame. ATTENTION: When the steering
is at full lock to the right and left the line must be able to move,
it must not come into contact with hot exhaust or engine parts
and must not put the slave unit under tension or compression!
Always make sure that the line cannot be damaged.
4. Slave installation
A. For installation with retainer:
Attach restoring spring to clutch lifter lever.
IMPORTANT for the correct function of the HYMEC.
Unscrew retainer from engine housing and place on HYMEC
cylinder (if included in scope of delivery, e.g. KXF, RMZ etc.,
always use the retainer supplied by MAGURA and do not mount
it on the housing until the existing bracket has been dismantled).
ATTENTION: Slightly bend up the notched and U-shaped part
of the clutch lifter lever. The rod must not jam!
If nipple retainer has been supplied, mount it on the rod, then
attach the HYMEC cylinder with rod to the clutch lifter lever.
Screw cylinder with bracket/retainer onto the engine housing.
B. For mounting on ignition cover:
Remove ignition cover.
Thread slave with rod through hole in housing.
Attach rod to lever. ATTENTION: Do not use pliers, these
can damage the rod!
Replace ignition cover. ATTENTION: If the rod jams in the
retainer during attachment, bend it up a little or expand the
hole with a file.
