Theusercanmanuallyadjustresistanceandstride.
2.HILL
TheHILLprogramcontainsthreehillpatternstochoosefrom.Adifferentpattern
appearseachtimetheHILLkeyispressed:HILL1,HILL2,HILL3.
3.RANDOM
TheRANDOMprogramcontainsarandomselectionofworkoutpatterns.Anew
patternappearseachtimetheRANDOMkeyispressed.
4.INTERVAL(1:1,1:2)
TheINTERVALprogramismadeupoftwoworkoutperiods,aRESTperiodanda
WORKperiod.Eachperiodcontainsadifferentresistancelevel.Therearetwo
RESTtoWORKratiostochoosefrom,either1:1or1:2.
(A)Inthe1:2ratio,thefirstdigit,1,representsarestperiodofoneminute;the
seconddigit,2,representsaworkperiodoftwominutes.
(B)Whileexercising,adifferentintervalpatternappearseverytimeINTERVAL
keyispressed.
(C)Becauseintervalisatwo-segmentprogram,onceinoperation,changingthe
resistanceofaRESTorWORKsegmentcarriesthatsettingintothenext
RESTorWORKsegment.Forinstance,ifyouchangeaRESTperiod
resistancelevelandcommitittomemory,thenextRESTperiodwillhavethat
sameresistancesetting.ThesameappliesforWORKSegments.

Thesetwoprogramsareheartratecontrolprograms.Byautomaticallyadjusting
resistanceorspeed,theykeeptheuser'sheartrateinaspecifictargetrangeto
accomplishcertainexercisegoals.
