Inspecting the Bed

Examineeachitemcarefullyforscratches,nicks,dentsoranyotherapparentdamage.

NOTE:Checkallpartsforshippingdamage.Incaseofshippingdamage,DONOTuse.Contact

Dealer/Carrierforfurtherinstruction.

1. Inspectthepowersupplycordandcablesforcutsordamagetothecordand/orplug.

2. Inspectthejunctionboxforanydamagetotheconnectors.

3. Ensurethatthemotorplugsarepluggedintothejunctionboxandfitproperly.

4. Doacarefulinspectionofthebed.Lookunderneaththebedtomakesurethereis

nothingstoredthere.ThisareaMUSTbekeptcleartoavoidanyinterferencewithbed

parts,whichmoveduringoperation.

5. Lockthecasters.RefertoLockingtheCasters

onpage 16.

6. Plugthepowercordintoa120voltgroundedsocketwithacapacityofatleast15

amperes.Usingthehandset,cyclethebedthroughallofitsoperations.(seepg6)

Makesurethateveryone(includingyou)isclearofthebedduringtheseoperations.

Ensurethat:

A. All

powerbedoperationsworksmoothlyandstopinanydesiredposition.

B. Bedheight,angleofthelegliftandbackrestcanbeadjustedproperly.

7. Positionthesiderails,besuretheyslideupanddownproperly

8. Whenyouaresatisfiedthatthebedisoperatingproperly,instructallpersonnelwho

maybeinvolvedinthebedoperation.

Storing the Beds

CAUTION

DO NOT place other objects on top of the cartons.

Ifbedisnotbeingassembledimmediately,retainthecartonsandpackagingforstorage

untilreadyforassembly.
