CAUTION
To protect flooring, ensure bed end is completely drained and dry before placing on
flooring. Otherwise, remaining dirty water may damage or stain flooring.
Avoid spraying water directly into the gear box ends. Otherwise, damage to the
gear box may occur.
Maintenance and Cleaning Checklist
Invacarerecommendsthefollowingmaintenanceandcleaningproceduresbeconducted
betweenusesandatleastonceayear.Thisformisprovidedasaguidetohelpwith
documentation.
Cleaning and Disinfecting Bed
❑ Unplugthepowercordofelectricbedsbeforeperformingmaintenance.
❑ Wipedownwithdisinfectant.Allowtodrycompletely.
Mechanical Inspection and Maintenance
❑ Inspectallbedcomponentsfordamageorexcessivewear.
❑ Visuallyexamineallweldsforcracks.
❑ Inspecttheheadandfootspringsectionsforbending,warpingordamage.
❑ Inspectpulltubesandmountinghardwareforbending,damageorexcessivewear.
❑ Inspectallboltsandrivetstoensurethattheyaresecurelytightenedandfunctioning
properly.
❑ Checksleepsurfacestoensurealllinksareintact.
❑ Checkcasterstoensuretheylockandrollproperly.
❑ Ensurecastersarefreeofdebris.
Electrical Inspection and Maintenance
❑ Inspectallelectricalbedcomponentsfordamageorexcessivewear(i.e.,crackedor
brokenhousings,orworncomponents).
❑ Checkpendant,powerandmotorcordsforchafing,cutsorexcessivewear.
❑ Makesureallplugsarefullyattachedandfreeofdamage.
