Training with Targets
1. Entering target time
• When the button is pressed, only the time “00:00” appears.
Reference: When only one item is displayed, it means that the item is currently
selected.
• To enter time, use the
or button.
Every press of the
or button increases or decreases the time respectively by one
minute (when the buttons are kept pressed, it fast-forwards the increase/decrease).
You can specify targets for exercise time, distance and calorie consumption to set up the train-
ing suitable for you.
When you reach each of the target values, the buzzer sounds to notify you. After that the values
start counting up.
Important: In order to exercise in the HR control modes (P-7 to P-11), you need the optional
chest belt heart rate sensor (the sensor by Polar can also be used).

KMS” appears.
Reference: When the
button is pressed for two seconds, the unit of distance flushes.
By pressing the

4. Entering upper and lower heart rate limits
Warning For safe training, be sure to enter the upper heart rate limit.
The maximum heart rate in the HR control modes in this machine is calcu-
lated by “220 - your age.” It is recommended that the upper heart rate limit
be set to a value lower than this value.
• When the
button is pressed after the target calorie consumption is entered, the target
upper heart rate limit “0
” appears. When the button is pressed again, the target
lower heart rate limit “0 ” appears.
• To enter upper and lower limit values, use the
or button.
Every press of the
or button increases or decreases the upper and lower limit
values respectively by 5 heartbeats.
Important: This function is enabled when you wear the chest belt heart rate sensor.
When your heart rate goes out of the range between the upper and lower
limits, an alarm sounds. The alarm keeps sounding until your heart rate returns
to within the range.
