WorkoutprogramsincludeTRACK,HILL,RANDOM,INTERVAL,andtwocardio
programs(WEIGHTLOSSandCARDIO).TheZONETRAINERprogramturnsany
programintoacardioprogram.
Onelapis400meters(0.25mile).Theusercanmanuallyadjustresistanceand
stride.
TheHILLprogramcontainsthreehillpatternstochoosefrom.Adifferentpattern
appearseachtimetheHILLkeyispressed:HILL-1,HILL-2,HILL-3.
TheRANDOMprogramcontainsarandomselectionofworkoutpatterns.Anew
patternappearseachtimetheRANDOMkeyispressed.
TheINTERVALprogramismadeupoftwoworkoutperiods,aRESTperiodanda
WORKperiod.Eachperiodcontainsadifferentresistancelevel.TherearetwoREST
toWORKratiostochoosefrom,either1:1or1:2.
Inthe1:2ratio,thefirstpart,1,isREST=oneminute;thesecondpart,WORK=two
minutes.
Whileexercising,adifferentINTERVALpatternappearseverytimeINTERVALis
pressed.
Becauseintervalisatwo-segmentprogram,onceinoperation,changingthe
resistanceofaRESTorWORKsegmentcarriesthatsettingintothenextRESTor
WORKsegment.Forinstance,ifyouchangeaRESTperiodresistanceleveland
commitittomemory,thenextRESTperiodwillhavethatsameresistancesetting.

Thesetwoprogramsareheartratecontrolprograms.Byautomatically
adjustingresistance,theykeeptheuser'sheartrateinaspecifictargetrange
toaccomplishcertainexercisegoals.Oneprogrammaintainsaheartratefor
optimumweightloss.Theotherprogrammaintainsaheartrateforoptimum
cardiotraining.
