1-5 Programming Quick Dial and Speed Dial
Using Quick Dial and Speed Dial, you can dial a facsimile or telephone on your terminal’s keypad by
pressing only one key (for Quick Dial) or two keys (for Speed Dial). However, you have to program the
Quick Dial key or Speed Dial Code in advance.
When you have programmed a key or code, you can use it as often as you like without reprogramming it.
Quick Dial keys –
There are 32 Quick Dial keys (01 to 32).
Each key can be programmed with either:
● Two numbers, one for a fax terminal and one for a telephone (see pages 30, 40 and 45 for how to use
Quick Dial keys for faxing and for phoning).
The telephone number can be the same as the fax number (for example, the fax may share a line with a
telephone). Or they can be completely unrelated.
When using a Quick Dial key, if a document is present in the feeder, the machine will dial the fax number
stored in the Quick Dial key. If no document is present, the machine will dial the telephone number.

Speed Dial Codes —
There are 100 Speed Dial Codes (00 to 99). Each can be programmed with one
number. It can be a phone or a fax number.
