features and functions of this watch.
Auto Return Features
After you perform an operation in any mode, pressing D returns to the
Timekeeping Mode.
The watch automatically switches to the Timekeeping Mode if you do not
perform any operation for about two minutes in any mode screen except
for the Stopwatch Mode and Camera Mode.
The watch automatically switches to the Timekeeping Mode if you do not
perform any operation for about one minute while the Calendar screen is
on the display.
In any setting screen except for the IR Mode, the watch automatically exits
the setting screen if you do not perform any operation for about one
minute.
If you do not perform an operation for about five minutes after displaying
the IR Mode send/receive menu, the watch automatically returns to the IR
Mode screen.
Timekeeping
The watchs built-in full automatic calendar makes allowances for different
month lengths and leap years.
The year can be set in the range of 2000 to 2039. Going past December
31, 2039 reverts to January 1, 2000.
12-hour/24-hour Timekeeping Formats
The timekeeping format you select is applied in all modes.
With the 12-hour format, the P (PM) indicator appears to the left of the hour
digits for times in the range of noon to 11:59 p.m. The A (AM) indicator
appears to the left of the hour digits for times in the range of midnight to
11:59 a.m.
With the 24-hour format, times are indicated in the range of 0:00 to 23:59,
without any indicator.
Alarm and Countdown Timer
The Daily Alarm, Hourly Time Signal and Countdown Timer alarm does not
sound while the watch is in the Camera Mode or IR Mode, or while the
Calendar or VISUAL DATABANK Mode setting screen is on the display.
Auto Power Save
The watch automatically turns off its display screen if it is not moved for about
60 minutes.
If a daily alarm time or the end of a countdown timer countdown is reached
while the display is blank, the display is turned on and the applicable screen
image appears while the alarm is sounding. After that, the display goes blank
again. Pressing F while an alarm is sounding stops the alarm, displays the
wake up screen image, and then enters the Timekeeping Mode. Pressing any
other button to stop the alarm causes the display to go blank.
