SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES AND PRECAUTIONS
5. Maintain labels and nameplates on the Adapter. These carry important
information. If unreadable or missing, contact Harbor Freight Tools for a
replacement.
8. Industrial applications must follow OSHA guidelines.
SERVICE
1. Do not exceed the weight limit (660 pounds) of this Adapter. Know the
weight of the load being lowered or lifted. Overloading the Adapter could cause
personal injury and/or property damage.
2. This Adapter is designed for use
only
with Harbor Freight Tools’ model
94629 Three Ton Floor Jack. Do not attempt to use this Adapter with any other
type of lifting device. Before use read and adhere to all safety warnings and
instructions provided in the instruction manual of SKU 94629 Floor Jack.
3. Always evaluate your task before using the Adapter. The Adapter is de-
signed to support a transmission or differential as individual components. As
semblies such as a transmission with a bell housing, or a differential with an axle,
can be bulky and difficult to balance on the Adapter’s platform. Lifting such
assemblies, even within the weight limit, can create an off-balance situation,
causing the Adapter (with its Jack) to tip over and lead to serious personal injury
and/or property damage. The load should be evenly distributed on the Adapter
and secured with the Adapter’s Chains.
4. Be aware of “dynamic loading”. If you drop a weight on the Adapter it may
create, for a brief moment, an excess load which may result in damage to the
Adapter and/or personal injury.
6. Never stand on the Adapter. Serious injury could result if the Adapter (with its
Jack) is tipped.
7. Prior to using the Adapter, make sure to read and understand all warnings,
safety precautions, and instructions as outlined in the vehicle
manufacturer’s instruction manual.
