Transferring e Photos & Videos to Your PC continued
Note: If your PC will not play the .avi movie files in Windows Media Player, you may need to
download a newer version of Media Player or Direct X from Microsoft.com. e movie files can also
be played back with the QuickTime Player, included with many computers, or available as a free
download from Apple.com.
7. You’re now ready to open the photo files in any photo editing software. Just use File>Open and go to the folder
where you stored the photos earlier. If you are using BlazePhoto, click “Get Photo” in the top left options bar,
then find and select the folder you used from the list of drives and folders shown in the left frame. “Preview” will
highlight in the options bar, and you will see the photos in your folder. Select one (its frame turns yellow), then
click the menu bar “Edit” button and experiment with the options. If you have any problems with opening a
photo, or want to learn more about editing, sharing or printing your photos, simply click “Help” in the top menu
It is also possible to open and work with your photos directly from the Instant Replay while it is still connected.
To do this with BlazePhoto, first follow steps 1-3, then open BlazePhoto, click “Get Photo”, then select “Camera
& Removable Device” as the source. A new window will open. Select “Bushnell” in the “Source Device” drop
down list. Click to select a photo or photos in the Preview window, then click “Transmit”. You can first create
and name a “Sub folder” such as “Smith family vacation” as the download destination if desired. If you choose
to work this way, from a connected camera, be sure that you save any edited photos to your hard drive, and not the
camera’s memory or card. When you are ready to save your edited file, you may want to use “Save As” and give it a more
descriptive name than “PICT0001”. Make sure you have successfully transferred all the photos you wanted to save before
using “Delete” or “Format” on your camera to make room for new images.
8. BlazePhoto is capable of opening, editing (cropping, resizing, adjusting brightness, color, etc), and sharing
(creating DVD slide shows, online albums, prints, etc) your still photos. It will not allow you to open, playback,
or edit video files. To view the videos you shoot with your Instant Replay on your PC or Mac, follow steps 1-6,
then use Windows Media Player (7 or higher) or QuickTime Player to play the video. Note that the videos do
not contain audio.
