• After installing the mount on the window, attach the scope to the tripod platform with the
mounting screw (D). Loosen and adjust the pan/tilt handle to point the scope as needed,
then tighten it.
NOTE: use of the top section as a window mount is not recommended with the 20-60x65mm Trophy XLT scope due to its greater size and
weight, to avoid potential damage to your window and/or the scope.
CLEANING
The lenses of your Trophy XLT spotting scope are multi-coated for highest light transmission. As
with any multi-coated optics, special care must be taken in cleaning the lenses. Follow these steps
for proper lens cleaning:
• Blow away any dust or debris on the lens (or use a soft lens brush).
• To remove dirt or nger prints, clean with the supplied micro-ber cloth rubbing in a circular
motion. Use of a coarse cloth or unnecessary rubbing may scratch the lens surface and
eventually cause permanent damage. The included washable microber cleaning cloth is
ideal for the routine cleaning of your optics. Simply breathe lightly on the lens to provide a
slight amount of moisture, then gently rub the lens with the microber cloth.
• For a more thorough cleaning, photographic lens tissue and photographic-type lens cleaning
uid or isopropyl alcohol may be used. Always apply the uid to the cleaning cloth – never
directly on the lens.
GENERAL CARE and CAUTIONS
Never disassemble your spotting scope. Irreparable damage can result from unauthorized
service attempts, which also void the warranty.
