ThismanualassistsusersinusingtheADS5525/27/45/46/47evaluationmodule(EVM)forevaluatingthe
performanceoftheADS5525/27/45/46/47(ADCs).TheEVMprovidesapowerfulandrobustcapabilityin
evaluationofthemanyfeaturesoftheADCsandtheperformanceofthedevicedermanyconditions.
AnaloginputtotheADCisprovidedviaexternalSMAconnectors.Theusersuppliesasingle-endedinput,
whichisconvertedintoadifferentialsignal.Oneinputpathusesadifferentialamplifier,whiletheother
inputistransformer-coupled.
TheEVMprovidesanexternalSMAconnectorforinputoftheADCclock.Thesingle-endedinputis
convertedintoadifferentialsignalattheinputofthedevice.
DigitaloutputfromtheEVMisviaa40-pinconnector.
PowerconnectionstotheEVMareviabananajacksockets.SeparatesocketsareprovidedfortheADC
analoganddigitalsupplies,theFPGAsupply,andthedifferentialamplifiersupply.

ExceedingthemaximuminputvoltagescandamageEVMcomponents.
