CUSTOMIZING FUNCTION SETTINGS
SELECTING THE LISTENING CHANNEL
While the DVD is stopped, press 5.1 CH or 2.1 CH on the remote control to select a different speaker output status. 5.1 CH or 2.1 CH appears.
The following tables show which speakers work in various modes.
Notes:
• Only the front left and right speakers, and subwoofer are active
while using TUNER mode.
• On – The speaker is activated.
• Off – The speaker is not activated.
• Always keep your VCR in stereo mode. Otherwise the speaker
output status may be different than the above listed table.
• You can only set 5.1 CH or 2.1 CH while the DVD is stopped.
• The subwoofer is always off when playing stereo DVD discs (not
Dolby Digital).
• When the player is set to 5.1 CH, the AUDIO OUT (red and
white RCA) jacks provide background sound only. If necessary,
change the setting to 2.1 CH when using audio output.
• When the player is in TUNER/AV IN mode, there is no sound
output from the AUDIO OUT (red and white RCA) jacks.
• The low frequency response of AUX OUT is dependent on the
subwoofer on/off mode in the setup menu.
