Basic Operations
Important
! Handle gently when removing or attaching
the front panel.
! Avoid subjecting the front panel toexcessive
shock.
! Keep the front panel out of direct sunlightand
high temperatures.
! To avoid damage to the device or vehicle inter-
ior, remove any cables and devices attached
to the front panel before detaching it.
Removingthe front panelto protectyour unitfrom
theft
1 Pressthe detachbutton torelease the front
panel.
2 Grab thefront paneland remove.
3 Always keepthe detachedfront panelin a protec-
tion devicesuch asa protection case.
Re-attaching thefront panel
1 Slide thefront panelto theleftuntil itclicks.
Front paneland the headunit areconnected on
the leftside. Makesure that thefront panelhas
been properlyconnected tothe head unit.
2 Pressthe rightside of thefront paneluntil itis
firmly seated.
If youcan’t attachthe frontpanel to thehead unit
successfully,tryagain. However, forcing thefront
panel intoplace mayresult indamage.
Turningthe uniton
1 PressSRC/OFF toturn theun it on.
Turningthe unitoff
1 PressSRC/OFFand holduntil theunit turnsoff.
Selecting asource
1 PressSRC/OFF tocycle between:
XM TUNER(XM tuner)—SIRIUS(SIRIUS tuner)—
HD Radio(HD Radiotuner)/TUNER (tuner)—CD
(CD player)—USB(USB storagedevice)/USB-
iPod (iPodconnected using USBinput)—EXTER-
NAL (externalunit 1)—EXTERNAL(external unit
2)—AUX1 (AUX1)—AUX2(AUX2)
Adjusting thevolume
1 TurnM.C. toadjust volume.
Notes
! When this unit’s blue/white lead is connected
to the vehicle’s auto-antenna relay control
terminal, the vehicle’s antenna extendswhen
this unit’s source is turned on. To retract the
antenna, turn the source off.
! If the HD Radio tuner is connected to this
unit, tuner source is skipped.
Using Bluetooth telephone
Important
! Since this unit is on standby to connect with
your cellular phone via Bluetooth wireless
technology, using it without the engine run-
ning can drain the battery power.
! Operations may vary depending on the kind of
cellular phone.
! Advanced operations that require attention
such as dialing numbers on the monitor,
using the phone book, etc., are prohibited
while driving. Park your vehicle in a safe place
when using these advanced operations.
Setting up for hands-free phoning
Before you can use the hands-free phoning
function you must set up the unit for use with
your cellular phone.
