How Do I Adjust the Surround Modes?
Selectable Listen Modes
The selected listen mode is variable depending on the input signal.
Input signal Selectable listen modes
Dolby Digital • Dolby Digital*
• Pro Logic (ProLogic II Music/Movie)**
• Stereo
* When the input signal contains the
identification signal indicating Dolby
Surround encoding, The listen mode is
switched automatically to Pro Logic (Pro Logic
II Movie).
** Pro Logic (Pro Logic II Music/Movie) can
be selected only when the input is 2-
channel signals.
DTS • DTS
• Stereo
DTS-ES Matrix 6.1 • DTS (DTS-ES Matrix 6.1*)
• Stereo
*DTS-ES Matrix 6.1 can be selected only
when THX mode is Off.
DTS-ES Discrete 6.1 • DTS (DTS-ES Discrete 6.1*)
• Stereo
*DTS-ES Discrete 6.1 can be selected only
when THX mode is Off.
MPEG • MPEG
• Pro Logic*
• Stereo
* Pro Logic can be selected only when the
