Requirements and Notices
Windows System Requirements
To use your printer and its software, your system should have:
■ A Microsoft
®
Windows compatible PC with a Pentium
®
III 800 MHz processor
(Pentium 4 processor, 2 GHz or faster recommended)
■ Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, or
Windows Vista
■ 512MB RAM (2GB or more recommended)
■ 300MB free hard disk space (1GB or more recommended)
■ SVGA monitor with at least a 256 color display
■ CD or DVD drive for installing the printer software
■ USB connection requires a computer with preinstalled Windows 2000, Windows XP,
Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, or Windows Vista; a Windows-compliant
USB port (Windows-compliant Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port recommended); and a
shielded USB 2.0 “AB” cable. Using an improperly shielded cable or a USB 1.1 cable
may cause the printer to malfunction.
Macintosh System Requirements
To use your printer and its software, your system should have:
■ Macintosh PowerPC
®
G4 733 MHz or faster, or Intel
®
Core
™
processor
■ Macintosh OS X 10.2.8, or 10.3.9 to 10.4.x
■ 512MB RAM (2GB or more recommended)
■ 300MB free hard disk space (1GB or more recommended)
■ SVGA monitor with at least a 256 color display
■ CD or DVD drive for installing the printer software
■ A built-in USB port (Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port recommended)
■ A shielded USB 2.0 “AB” cable. Using an improperly shielded cable or a USB 1.1
cable may cause the printer to malfunction.
