You can check the focus by pressing the shutter button halfway to enlarge the
image area in the AF frame.
Configure the setting.
Press the n button, choose [AF-Point
Zoom] on the 4 tab, and then choose [On]
(p. 42).
Check the focus.
Press the shutter button halfway. The face
detected as the main subject is now
magnified.
To restore the original setting, choose [Off] in
step 1.
Magnifying the Area in Focus
• The display will not magnify if a face was not detected, or if the
person is too close to the camera and their face is too large for the
screen.
• The magnified display will not appear when using the digital zoom (p. 55), digital
tele-converter (p. 115), Tracking AF (p. 117), Servo AF (p. 119) or when using
a TV as a display (p. 175).
