• After you set the shutter speed or aperture value, the exposure level
may change if you adjust the zoom or recompose the shot.
• Screen brightness may change depending on your specified shutter
speed or aperture value. However, screen brightness remains the
same when the flash is up and the mode is set to [h].
• Exposure may not be as expected when the ISO speed is set
to [ ], because the ISO speed is adjusted to ensure standard
exposure relative to your specified shutter speed and aperture
value.
• AE lock is only available when the ISO speed setting is [
].

Adjusting the Flash Output
Choose from the three flash levels in [D] mode.
1 Enter [D] mode.
z Set the mode dial to [D].
2 Set the flash mode.
z Press the <n> button, choose [Flash
Control] on the [
4] tab, and then press
the <m> button (=
26).
z Press the <o><p> buttons to choose
[Flash Mode], press the <q><r> buttons
to choose [Manual], and then press the
<n> button.
3 Configure the setting.
z Raise the flash, press the <r> button and
immediately turn the <
> ring to choose
the flash level, and then press the <m>
button.
z Once the setting is complete, the flash
output level is displayed.
