Your TIMEX watch is warranted against manufacturing defects by Timex Corporation for a period of ONE YEAR
from the original purchase date.Timex and its worldwide affiliates will honor this International Warranty.
Please note that Timex may, at its option, repair your watch by installing new or thoroughly reconditioned and
inspected components or replace it with an identical or similar model. IMPORTANT — PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS
WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER DEFECTS OR DAMAGES TO YOUR WATCH:
1) after the warranty period expires;
2) if the watch was not originally purchased from an authorized Timex retailer;
3) from repair services not performed by Timex;
4) from accidents, tampering or abuse;and
5) lens or crystal, strap or band, watch case, attachments or battery. Timex may charge you for replacing any
of these parts.

watch was purchased, together with a completed original Watch Repair Coupon or, in the U.S.and Canada only,
the completed original Watch Repair Coupon or a written statement identifying your name, address, telephone
number and date and place of purchase.Please include the following with your watch to cover postage and han-
dling (this is not a repair charge): a US$ 7.00 check or money order in the U.S.;a CAN$6.00 cheque or money order
in Canada; and a UK£2.50 cheque or money order in the U.K. In other countries,Timex will charge you for postage

3 YEAR WARRANTY
This watch is warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the original
date of purchase in Australia, provided it has been sold by an authorized and appointed dealer. The
3 Year Warranty only
applies to the original purchase of the watch from an authorized dealer from
April 1st 2001 onwards.
All watches that were purchased prior to this date are only covered by the original 1 Year Warranty. Within this period,regu-
lation, adjustment, repair, replacement of parts or movements, or, at our option, replacement with a watch of equal value
and/or similar function, will be provided at no charge within a reasonable time after watch is returned during the warranty
period, provided the watch is returned together with a warranty card:
(a) To the nearest authorized dealer or

7.We reserve the rights to relinquish all responsibility under this warranty for repairs if the watch is tampered with,altered,
or damaged by any party.
8.Altered or tampered warranty cards or photocopies of warranty cards will not be honored.
OUR LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY BREACH OF ANY IMPLIED TERM, CONDITION OR WARANTY UNDER ANY APPLICABLE LEGIS-

WATER & SHOCK RESISTANCE
BATTERY
Timex strongly recommends that a retailer or jeweler replace battery. If applicable, push
reset button when replacing battery. Battery type is indicated on caseback. Battery life esti-
mates are based on certain assumptions regarding usage; battery life may vary depending on
actual usage.
DO NOT DISPOSE OF BATTERY IN FIRE. DO NOT RECHARGE. KEEP LOOSE BATTERIES
AWAY FROM CHILDREN.
INDIGLO® NIGHT-LIGHT/NIGHT MODE® FEATURE
Press INDIGLO® to activate night-light. Patented (U.S. pat 4,527,096 and 4,775,964) electrolumi-
nescent technology used in INDIGLO® night-light illuminates entire watch face at night and in
low light conditions. While the night-light is on pressing any button keeps it on for three seconds.
Press and hold INDIGLO for 4 seconds to activate NIGHT-MODE® Feature (U.S. pat. 4,912,688).
Moon icon will appear. Once activated, any button pushed will cause INDIGLO® night-light
to stay on for 3 seconds. NIGHT-MODE® Feature will stay activated for 8 hours or until deacti-
vated by pressing and holding INDIGLO again for 4 seconds.
WARNING: TO MAINTAIN WATER-RESISTANCE, DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS UNDER WATER.
1. Watch is water-resistant only as long as lens, push buttons and case remain intact.
2. Watch is not a diver watch and should not be used for diving.
3. Rinse watch with fresh water after exposure to salt water.
4. Shock-resistance will be indicated on watch face or caseback. Watches are designed to pass
ISO test for shock-resistance. However, care should be taken to avoid damaging crystal/lens.
1. Appuyer sur MODE jusqu’à ce que CHRONO apparaisse.
2. Garder SET/RECALL enfoncé.

6. Pour utiliser le chronographe, appuyer sur START/SPLIT. Celui-ci continuera à fonctionner

7. Enfoncer STOP/RESET pour stopper le chronographe OU pendant que le chronographe fonc-
tionne, appuyer sur START/SPLIT pour enregistrer un temps intermédiaire. Le tour et le
temps seront affichés dans le format que vous avez choisi. Le numéro du tour alternera
avec les deux derniers chiffres de la ligne inférieure.
REMARQUES :
• Le tour et le temps intermédiaire sembleront « figés » durant 10 secondes. Appuyer sur
MODE pour quitter cet affichage et voir le chronographe en marche.
• Lorsque le chronographe est en marche ou arrêté, enfoncer SET/RECALL, puis utiliser + ou –
pour parcourir les tours enregistrés ou pour rappeler des tours et des temps intermédiaires
en mémoire. Appuyer de nouveau sur SET/RECALL pour revenir au chronographe.
• Garder STOP/RESET enfoncé pour remettre le chronographe à zéro.

PILE
Timex recommande fortement qu’un détaillant ou un bijoutier remplace la pile. Si appli-
cable, enfoncer le bouton de remise à zéro au moment de remplacer la pile. Le type de pile est
indiqué à l’endos du boîtier. L’estimation de la durée de la pile est basée sur certaines
suppositions quant à l’usage; sa durée réelle peut varier selon l’utilisation de la montre.
NE PAS JETER LA PILE AU FEU. NE PAS RECHARGER LA PILE. GARDER LES PILES HORS DE
LA PORTÉE DES ENFANTS.
ÉTANCHÉITÉ ET RÉSISTANCE AUX CHOCS

1. Étanche seulement si le verre, les boutons et le boîtier restent intacts.

4. La résistance aux chocs sera indiquée sur la face de la montre ou à l’endos du boîtier. Les
montres sont conçues pour réussir le test de l’ISO pour la résistance aux chocs. Évitez
toutefois d’endommager le cristal ou la lentille.

RESISTÊNTE AL ÁGUA Y A LOS CHOQUES
PILAS
Timex recomienda enfáticamente que un relojero o joyero reemplace la pila. Si corre-
sponde, presione el pulsador de reconfigurar cuando reemplace la pila. El tipo de pila se indica
al dorso de la caja. El estimado sobre la duración de la pila se basa en ciertas suposiciones
con respecto al uso; la duración de la pila puede depender del uso real.
NO DESECHE LA PILA EN EL FUEGO. NO RECARGUE. MANTENGA LAS PILAS SUELTAS
FUERA DEL ALCANCE DE LOS NIÑOS.
ADVERTENCIA: PARA MANTENER LA RESISTENCIA AL AGUA, NO PRESIONE NINGÚN
PULSADOR DEBAJO DEL AGUA

3. Podrá leer: FORMATO/FIJAR, luego LAP/SPL (VUELTA/FRACCION) o SPL/LAP.
4. Oprima + o – para seleccionar el formato deseado.
5. Oprima TERMINADO para confirmar y salir.
6. Para usar el cronógrafo oprima COMENZAR/FRACCIÓN. El cronógrafo continuará funcionando
a pesar de que salga de la modalidad.
7. Oprima PARAR/RECONFIGURAR para evitar que el cronógrafo funcione O mientras el cronó-
grafo está funcionando, oprima COMENZAR/FRACCIÓN para tomar una fracción. El tiempo de
las vueltas y fracciones aparecerá en el formato que seleccionó. El número de vuelta
alternará con los dos últimos dígitos de la línea de abajo.
NOTAS:
• El tiempo de vueltas y fracciones aparecerá congelado durante 10 segundos. Oprima MODAL-
IDAD para liberar el visualizador y ver el cronógrafo en funcionamiento.
• Mientras el cronógrafo está en funcionamiento o detenido, oprima FIJAR/VOLVER A VISUALIZAR,
luego oprima + o – para avanzar a través de vueltas almacenadas o para volver a ver
vueltas/fracciones registradas. Oprima FIJAR/VOLVER A VISUALIZAR nuevamente para volver
al cronógrafo en funcionamiento.
• Oprima y sostenga PARAR/RECONFIGURAR para reconfigurar el cronógrafo.
VEILLEUSE INDIGLO®/FONCTION NIGHT-MODE®
Enfoncer INDIGLO® pour activer l’éclairage. La technologie électroluminescente brevetée
(brevets américains n° 4,527,096 et 4,775,964) utilisée dans la veilleuse INDIGLO® permet d’il-
luminer toute la face de la montre la nuit et dans des conditions de faible éclairage. Lorsque la
veilleuse est activée, enfoncer tout bouton pour la laisser allumée durant 3 secondes.
Garder le bouton INDIGLO enfoncé durant 4 secondes pour activer la fonction NIGHT-MODE®‚
(brevet américain 4,912,688). L’icône de lune apparaîtra. Une fois cette fonction activée,
enfoncer n’importe quel bouton pour laisser la veilleuse INDIGLO® allumée durant 3 secondes.
La fonction NIGHT-MODE® restera active durant 8 heures ou jusqu’à sa désactivation. Pour ce
faire, garder le bouton INDIGLO enfoncé de nouveau durant 4 secondes.
FONCIONES INDIGLO® NIGHT-LIGHT/NIGHT MODE®
Presione INDIGLO® para activar la luz. La tecnología patentada electroluminiscente (Números de
