ALARM/CHIME
The watch has a daily alarm and optional hourly chime.
To set alarm:
1) With time of day displayed, press and hold MODE until Monday symbol flashes.
2) Monday symbol and alarm hour flash. Press LAP/RESET to change hour (including AM/PM);
hold button to scan values.
3) Press START/STOP. Monday symbol and alarm minutes flash. Press LAP/RESET to
change minutes.
4) Press MODE at any step when done setting. Alarm is automatically turned on.
To turn on/off alarm and hourly chime, with time of day displayed, press and hold LAP/RESET, and
while holding, press START/STOP repeatedly. Watch will step through four combinations of alarm
and chime settings. Alarm symbol appears when alarm is on. Bell symbol appears when hourly chime
is on - watch will chime on every hour.
To test alarm, press and hold both START/STOP and LAP/RESET.
When alarm sounds, press LAP/RESET to silence. If button is not pressed, alarm will sound for 30
seconds.
Alarm repeats daily unless turned off.
CHRONOGRAPH
This mode provides a chronograph (stopwatch) function for timing events.
With time of day displayed, press MODE to go to Chronograph mode. Sunday symbol flashes.
To start, press START/STOP. Sunday and Saturday symbols flash. Chronograph counts up, by
hundredths of a second up to one hour, then by seconds up to 24 hours before starting over.
Saturday symbol stops flashing.
To stop, press START/STOP. Sunday, Saturday and Friday symbols flash.
To resume, press START/STOP, or to reset chronograph to zero, press LAP/RESET.
While chronograph is running, press LAP/RESET to take lap/split and see your time up to a particu-
lar point. Sunday, Saturday and Thursday symbols flash. Chronograph display freezes while chrono-
graph continues to run. Press LAP/RESET to resume display of running chronograph.
Press MODE to exit mode. Chronograph continues to run if you exit mode.
INDIGLO® NIGHT-LIGHT
Press INDIGLO® to illuminate watch display for 3 seconds. Patented (U.S. pat. 4,527,096 and
4,775,964) electroluminescent technology used in the INDIGLO® night-light illuminates entire watch
face at night and in low light conditions.
WATER & SHOCK RESISTANCE
If your watch is water-resistant, meter marking or ( ) is indicated.
WARNING: TO MAINTAIN WATER-RESISTANCE, DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS UNDER
WATER.
1. Watch is water-resistant only as long as lens, push buttons and case remain intact.
2. Watch is not a diver watch and should not be used for diving.
3. Rinse watch with fresh water after exposure to salt water.
4. Shock-resistance will be indicated on watch face or caseback. Watches are designed to pass ISO
test for shock-resistance. However, care should be taken to avoid damaging crystal/lens.
BATTERY
Timex strongly recommends that a retailer or jeweler replace battery. Battery type is on
watch back. If present, push/short internal reset switch after replacing battery. Battery life estimates
are based on certain assumptions regarding usage; battery life may vary depending on actual usage.
DO NOT DISPOSE OF BATTERY IN FIRE. DO NOT RECHARGE. KEEP LOOSE BATTERIES
