APM is a full-depth (7") powered air mattress replacement system which
reduces interface pressure for the treatment of Stage I through Stage IV pressure ulcers.
With either 5-minute alternating pressure cycles or static operating mode, the caregiver
can optimize the patient’s therapy and comfort level through the APM’s 22 adjacent air cells.
The APM’s powerful, lightweight, and easy-to-transport power unit inflates the mattress in less
than 12 minutes. Caregiver-friendly controls and several valuable user functions — including Auto-
Firm, CPR deflate, simplified patient weight setting, and automatic back-up flotation in the
event of a power failure — further enhance the APM’s advanced therapeutic performance.
Alternating Mode
In alternating mode, the Invacare APM’s 22 adjacent air cells
alternately inflate and deflate at 5-minutes intervals, which
redistributes the pressure against the skin to promote capillary
circulation.
FEATURES

User-Friendly Controls
Power Button with LED indicator informs the
operator if the unit is in standby or operating
mode.
Weight select increases or decreases the
mattress pressure setting to accommodate
patient weight
Alternating pressure mode provides an air
pressure cycle every 5 minutes; static flotation
mode cancels alternating pressure mode for
those patients who can’t tolerate alternating
pressure
Auto-Firm with LED indicator rapidly inflates the
mattress to maximum firmness to facilitate
patient handling. Auto-Firm mode automatically
cancels if left unattended for 30 minutes
