If you also like to access the answering machine via another internal telephone or via an
external telephone and to operate it (see page 221), configure the remote access first as fol-
lows:
ț Switch on the remote access as described in the following.
ț Assign a user PIN (page 167).

ț If you like to save money, as long as there are no new messages, switch on the remote
access toll saver (page 210).
ț If you like to simplify the remote access without the use of the user PIN and like to transfer
your telephone number instead, switch on the quick remote access in addition to the
remote access (page 210). Enter also one or two quick access telephone numbers
(page 211).
ț If you like to be informed by the answering machine away from home way as soon as a
new message has been recorded, configure the message forwarding (page 211) and acti-
vate it on demand (page 213).
Switch on/off the Remote Access
In this menu you can define if a remote access to the answering machine is possible.
