I was told this watch had a stop watch facility ie...

I was told this watch had a stop watch facility ie time your self doing a particular task, but when i read through the manual it only has a timer which tells you once a particular amount of time has elapsed. Have i been jibbed or am I misunderstanding the function of the watch?
