TREADMILL PROBLEM...

I WAS WORKING OUT ON MY TREADMILL ABOUT TEN MINUTES WHEN SUDDING THE RUNNING BELT QUIT. THE PANEL LIGHTS UP BUT WHEN YOU REST IT THE RUNNING BELT WILL STILL NOT WORK COULD IT BE THE MOTOR?
