i have a pro-form crosswalk 397, the auto walking ...

i have a pro-form crosswalk 397, the auto walking workout starts out at level 9 intead of 1. I can cycle throught 9-20 then it goes right back to level 9 again, I have pressed the reset button, powered off and unpluged it, when I restart it starts at level 9 again, how do I get it back to start at level 1?
