Question About ProForm Elliptical Trainer 831.28352.1

when i use my elliptical it tells me to enter my age, when i change the resistance it changes back to 1 by its self, and it takes 2 hours or so for it to turn off when i'm done. I dont't have the manual so i don't know if it is in a program.
