Resistance Band

for NordicTrack Home Gym CX 998 NEL70950

I have a CX 998, but the minute I turn it on, the resistance band goes straight to a 10 resistance setting (although the display doesn't show it). I have tried swapping out the resistance motor, but to no avail. Do any of you have any suggestions/advice/help?
