I cannot fit my new nordictrack treadmill c2300 through the 31" door -- is there a simple way to remove the treadmill walking area from the rest of the unit, to bring them through separately? Then reassemble?

5 I have had this problem before. I used to technician both delivering and fixing these machines. What you are trying to do (removing the walking platform) would work but there is a much easier way to do it. I have attached a users manual that will help tremendously. 1. First remove the console assembly. The console assembly is held on by 4 bolts (see page 7, pics 3 and 4). Have someone help by holding the console while the 4 bolts are removed. (WARNING: do not pull the console away from the pedestal once the bolts have been removed) This is a two person job. As one person slowly pulls off the console, on the right side you will see a wire harness (#73, page 7, pic 3). Carefully disconnect the wire harness between the pedestal and the console. Once this is done the console can be removed safely. 2. You want to fold the walking platform up, about 80% of the way. After that is done gently lay it down on its side. At the bottom of the machine you will find the extension legs (page 6, figure one) held in place by "2" bolts each (#87). Remove the bolts and remove the extension legs on each side. Once both of these steps are done fold up the treadmill completely and you should have no problem fitting it through any door.
