NordicTrac sl 728 bicycle keeps pausing after 5 se...

NordicTrac sl 728 bicycle keeps pausing after 5 seconds and does not recognize when I am pedalling therefore each program pauses after 5 seconds of starting a program. The console has brand new batteries.
