I purchased a floor model but didn't see it plugged in. The display doesn't progress at all - no time, no RPM's, no distance. It's as if the display doesn't even know I'm on the machine. Has anyone else seen this?

0 The problem you seem to be describing sounds like the reed switch is misaligned. The reed switch is a small sensor attached to the machine that sits across from a magnet on the flywheel. When the magnet passes in front of the sensor as it moves the sensor recognizes this and displays it. This is also how distance, calories, etc are computed. If the sensor is more or less than 1/8" from the magnet on the flywheel your console will only show 0. Hope this helps. This web page shows how to do this.
