0 Have tried to turn back cover both ways from the alignment arrows but the cover just barely moves off the marks

0 Align the two arrows and use the tip of a sharp blade to lift the cover. battery is a CR 2032. align the two arrows when putting the cover back and turn it until it stops. the cover will only turn about 10° or 1/8 of an inch
