0 I had the same issue. It turns out there is a small terminal that pops up at the edge of the battery slot. It appears like it should remain up and out when you insert the battery. However it is actually the negative battery terminal and must be tucked under the battery when reassembling. I reinstalled the battery with this little tab underneath and now it works fine.
