Meade Spotting Scope
Introduction
Meade spotting scopes are ideal for high-magnification, high-
resolution observation of terrestrial subjects. Explore the
subtleties of a bird’s feather structure from 50 yards or use
the Spotting Scope for casual astronomical observations.
Note: “Spotting Scope” is a term used to define a telescope
that is primarily intended for terrestrial (land) viewing.
spotting scopes can also be used for casual astronomical
observing.
Never use a Meade
®
Spotting Scope to look at the Sun!
Looking at or near the Sun will cause instant and
irreversible damage to your eye. Eye damage is
often painless, so there is no warning to the
observer that damage has occurred until it is too
late. Do not point the spotting scope or its viewfinder at or
near the Sun. Do not look through the spotting scope as it is
moving.
Children should always have adult supervision while
observing.
