Before you begin operating this unit, please read the operating in-
structions carefully to be sure you get the best possible performance.
If you have any questions, consult your JVC dealer.
CAUTION
1.
For your safety...
Never use the headphones when driving a car, motorcycle, or bicy- R
cle.
This could result in an accident.
Pay special attention to trafc around you when using the head- R
phones outside. Failure to do so could result in an accident.

e careful not to turn up the sound volume too high. Your hearing can
be damaged by listening to sounds at excessive volume for long periods.
Do not disassemble or modify the headphones. R
D R
o not allow ammable, water or metallic objests to enter the headphones.
If you nd skin problems where the headphones are in contact R
with the skin, stop use of the headphones; otherwise, it may cause
inammation or irritation to the skin.
In the dry air such as in winter, you may feel a static shock when R
using the headphones.
2. Avoid using the headphones...
in places subject to excessive humidity or dust R
in places subject to extremely high (over 40 R I or 104J) or low (un-
der 0I or 34J) temperatures
3. DO NOT leave the headphones...
exposed to direct sunlight R
near a heater R
4. To protect the headphones, DO NOT...
allow them to get wet R
shake them or drop them against hard objects R
5. For replacing the ear pieces...
Attach the ear pieces rmly when replacing them; otherwise, the R
ear pieces may be left in your ears when taking the headphones off.
If the ear piece is left in your ear, be careful not to push it deep into R
the ear canal.
Precautions for use
Be careful not to apply the power that exceeds the headphone’s input o
capacity. This may result in sound distortion and could damage the
oscillation board.
Grasp and pull the plug itself to disconnet the headphone. Do not pull o
out the cord.
When using the headphones nearby a cellular phone, noise may occur. o
Keep the headphones away from the cellular phone.
When covering the headphones with an object, the noise-canceling o
function may not work well or howling noise may occur. In this case,
take away the object covering the headphones.
The ear pieces deteriorate with age even in normal use and maintenance. o
Store the ear pieces in a place where children cannot reach to avoid o
the risk of the accident such as swallowing them.
When using the inner ear headphones, you may hear the cord rubbing o
or the sound transmitted through the body while walking.
If you feel sick while using the headphones, stop using immediately. o
Sound distortion may occur and loud noises may be heard when the o
battery is low but this is not a malfunction. In this case, the battery
needs to be changed.
Please follow the instructions of the airlines when using the head- o
phones in the aircraft cabin. The headphones may not be usable
depending on the audio system on the aircraft.
Using memory foam ear pieces
When the ear pieces get dirty, clean the surface with a damp cloth. Do o
not wash with water.
Replace the ear pieces in the following cases: they lose its elasticity; o
they are stained badly; they are broken or deformed.
Using silicon rubber ear pieces
When the ear pieces get dirty, detach the ear pieces and wash them in o
water-diluted detergent. After washing, dry the ear pieces and attach
to the headphones.

BATTERY INSERTION
1. Slide the battery cover open.
2. Insert the supplied battery, matching the F and G.
Insert G end rst
then F end.
3. Close the battery cover.
Do not open the battery cover forcibly; it may break the battery cover. R
Supplied battery is for your initial use. R
Changing the Battery
The battery should be changed when the operation indicator fades or does
not turn on. The noise-canceling function becomes less effective as the
battery wears down so make sure to replace the battery.
NOTES: Misuse of battery could result in leakage. This could cause a
re
or explosion. To prevent this, pay special attention to the following points
:
Be sure to insert the battery with correct positive R F and negative G polarities.
Do not heat, disassemble or short-circuit battery and never dispose R
of it by throwing in re.
Read the caution on the battery before use. R
USING THE HEADPHONES
1.
Identify the
left and right headphone. Insert the
headphones with the bushing pointing up, and
hang the cord over the ears.
2.Put on the headphones firmly.
3.Slide the POWER switch to ON to activate the noise-canceling
function.
The operation indicator lights up.
Without turning on the power, you can use the headphones. In this R
case, the noise-canceling function does not work.
When you turn on the power without connecting the audio component, R
only the ambient noise will be reduced.
For the better sounds and comfort fit
The medium-size ear pieces are attached when purchased.
You may not enjoy the bass sound fully if the ear pieces are not t to
your ears. To enjoy better sounds and full noise canceling effect, choose
the ear pieces from the supplied ear pieces and adjust their positions to
t them to your ears.
Using the memory foam ear pieces
Compress the ear pieces slightly and insert them into the ears. Restore
the ear pieces and t them into the ears.
Install the ear loop
Fix the bushing to the ear R
loop. Identify the left and
right ear loop before installing.
Fit the cord into the groove R
of the ear loop.
USING THE MONITOR FUNCTION
Press the MONITOR switch.
The playback sounds is muted and you can hear surroundings easily
without taking the headphones off. The noise-canceling function does
not work while the monitor function is on.
