WhentheprogramtimehaselapsedortheSTOPkeyispressed,theCoolDownprogramwilllaunch,followedbythe
WorkoutSummarydisplay.TheWorkoutSummarywillbedisplayedforsixty(60)seconds.
PressSTARTtorestart
thepreviousprogramorSTOPtoreturntoIdlemode.
TARGETHEARTRATEPROGRAM
Diamondback’sTargetHeartRateprogramcanalsodescribedasaheartratecontrolprogram.Heartratecontrol
programsautomaticallyincreaseanddecreasetheloadduringtheworkouttostaywithinfour(4)BPM(Beatsper
minute)oftheselectedtarget.
Forexample,iftheheartratetargetis132BPM,
andtheuser’spulsebeginstofall,the500Ercomputerwillslowly
increasetheload.Eventually,theamountofworkbeingperformedbytheuserwillincreaseandsowilltheheart
rate.Conversely,iftheuser’sheartrateclimbsabovethetargetzone,theloadwillbereduced,ultimately
decreasing
theuser’sheartrate.
Theadvantagesofheartratecontrolprogramsarethesimplicityandaccuracybywhichtheidealcardiovascular
trainingzoneismaintainedtherebyofferingaveryefficientworkout.
FortheTargetHeartRateprogramstooperate,thecomputermustreceiveaheartratesignalfromthe
touchheart
ratesensors.Ifnosignalisdetected,thePulsefieldwilldisplay‐‐‐andtheheartsymbolwillnotbelit.
