NordicTrack Treadmill APEX6100Xi NTTL25901

Console won't turn on

My girlfriend just got a relatively brand new NordicTrack APEX 6100xi treadmill from a friend, and when we plugged it in and turned it on the console would not light up or respond. I removed the cover at the base of the treadmill where the power cord is connected and saw that it was getting power because a few lights were lit up. I also noticed that there was a loose wire that wasnt connected to anything on one end and the end connected to the the set of wires that run up the inside of the metal tubing to the the console.I suspect this is the reason its not working but cannot find where this cable should be connected to. Is it possible to get a picture of what all the wires should be connected to? Also, is there any other reason why the console isnt working?

    I bought the same treadmill off of craigslist. I bought it from an older man who hadn't really used it. He showed me it worked, I know he didn't scam me. I brought it home plugged it in and the console froze up. I can't push any buttons. I checked the connections everything seems fine.
    Of course the warranty is up :-/
