Tanita Scale WB-300MH

I am unable to get the scales to weigh. When you step on the scale, the weight indicator won't go past 0.4 lbs & keeps rolling back & forth from 0-0.4. I have tried removing the batteries & resetting with the reset button. The clock works fine.
